to be filed under 'who needs a man?'

well, apparently i do need a man, but only for instructions, not to replace my car's headlights for me. as some of you know (including the nice officer that didnt ticket me), my jetta has been in need of a headlight for at least a month now (i think i noticed it first when we took that trip to the zoo), and yesterday the other one went out as well. today georgia and i went to auto zone (they used to have that awesome commercial jingle and ive loved it for that ever since) to purchase two headlights. well, after trying to figure out how to replace them for 10 minutes without making any progress i called my dad who found a how-to video on the clickyweb. now, it was very helpful, and very easy to follow, but did me no good with my jetta. turns out jettas are not as easy as mazdas. so i came back into the house to google 'replace headlight 2004 jetta' and came across this gal's answer. perfect. it was sorta hard, especially the driver's side one (there is little room for moving around), but it is done. and they work!

Nice job. Nothing more satisfying than doing something yourself. And cheaper I might add.

i had a similar experience trying to switch out my windshield wipers. i did it in a pencil skirt and 4-inch peep toes.
